Affiliate
Programs for your Website
Or . . .
How to Make Money with
your Website
Affiliate programs are programs
that pay you a commission to sell their products on your website.
Depending on the product you can earn anywhere from only a few percent to as
much as 50% or even 70% on some products (some e-books or other digital products
pay this well).
You can use several affiliate programs
for your websites. Travel websites use travel insurance and related
travel-type programs, TEFL websites help sell TEFL programs - and almost
all my websites use Google Ads also (more on that on the
Other Income
Ideas page)
The best place to start to learn
about affiliate programs is the Commission Junction website - where they
offer, under one roof, more than a thousand
different affiliate programs. Try them at
www.cj.com
and spend some serious time cruising the products to see what might work for
you.
Another good source is Google -
notice them in the Google ads on the right side of this page, or just try: "Affiliate Programs" and you will see thousands and thousands of
them in the search panel below (this pops up in a new window so you won't lose this page).
So . . . when you select the
topic for your website, you will need to find affiliate
programs that offer products related to the
central concept of your website. Do a thorough search though, as there
are many excellent programs that are not part of a major program like
Commission Junction.
Affiliate programs are where you
start to make some money, think carefully about how to fit them in with your
website concept.
DON'T get stuck on affiliate
programs as your only income source! See the
Other Income
Ideas page for some - well . . . other income ideas.
