"Webbing" Full time for Three
Months
October 2007
At the three month mark . . .
Five NEW websites and a complete reword/overhaul of an existing site.
Several updates and SEO (search engine optimization) improvements on
existing sties.
All that activity means I have been working hard (though it doesn't really
feel like work as it is enjoyable and purely self-directed and for my
long-term self-benefit).
Many people say that when you build a new website that you should do your
best and then forget about it for three months - then go back and see how it
is doing. Well . . . it is hard for me to forget about them - so I do watch
the statistics - but I have noticed that around three months the search
engines start to give you a little attention. I've also noticed that around
nine months I seem to get a real bump in traffic from search engines - I
guess they figure you are here to stay and worth noticing then. A few sites
also get some immediate notice, though not in a big way. Patience . . .
Persistence is the #1 quality that will help you succeed in this business -
nothing seems to happen quickly. Many things - and your successful niche -
depend on a system of discovery. Go get 'em, - yes - but also hang in
there!
